Yes! Happy Monday! Chapter seven may be found here.
I didn’t blog over the weekend. Nothing of note happened anyway and I spent my Saturday cleaning, doing laundry and other mundane chores I’d put off until I decided even I couldn’t postpone it any longer. I made a pot of beef vegetable soup which was just OK, and then fell asleep and took a 3 hour nap. When I woke up, I went on a little spiritual journey the rest of the evening and journaled, which is something I started back in November after a peculiar experience which I’ll save for another time. Anyway, you should do it. It’s therapeutic and if you’re like me, you don’t write by hand nearly enough.
Sunday was lunch with my niece at a place called the Broadway Diner. We decided on breakfast food for lunch and since I do intermittent fasting everyday (16/8) breakfast at 1:00 pm was perfect. Since I mainly only eat animal products, I had what they call a Philly cream cheese omelet with a side of bacon and it was delicious! My niece had a traditional breakfast of eggs, ham, toast and coffee. It was great to catch up. She owns her own company and doesn’t have much free time so we don’t get to see each other nearly enough. The rest of the day was again mundane: grocery store, I made a pot of chili and then guess what? Another nap. I must seriously be lacking sleep!
It was back to work at the day job today and busy as hell. However, it pays the bills until I get that best seller status and can finally quit and live my dream of being a full time writer. At least I’m very fortunate though in that I really do enjoy my job and I love everyone I work with.
I truly hope you’re all enjoying this story. I certainly am enjoying writing it. I just hope with everything else life throws at me I can adhere to this schedule for the remainder of the book. Would you believe we’re already at 19,650 words? Who’d have thought it right?
I hope you all have a wonderful evening and a fantastic week! See you on Wednesday…hopefully! Tomorrow I have to go get a new passport photo taken and get the paperwork off in the mail. I can’t believe I forgot to have it renewed! UGH!
