Today if it rained
I’d not be blue
I’d lose myself in a story
or write one, or two
I’d find things unimagined
and get lost in the sounds
Take an uncharted voyage, a journey
unbound.
A ship or a train
A carriage or car
Just riding the raindrops
I’d reach what’s afar
Will the rain wash away all my worries and woe,
Or simply distract me, of this, I don’t know.
What I do know is rain, hard or soft,
is a blessing.
It opens my spirit, to forget
anything pressing.
If I write or I read
the outcome is the same
I’m immersed in a voyage
All thanks to the rain

We have not had very much poetry recently and it was therefore useful that a poem showed up out of somewhere from PS Bartlett
Thank you so much for sharing. Sadly, it is overcast today but not a drop of rain in sight.
This pluviophile thought the poem was just right! Thanks for visiting my blog and the reblog on rain. I will enjoy exploring your work.
Thank you so much. It was a coincidence that couldn’t be ignored.
