Esme and I planted these sunflowers in early April. One of them she calls the beanstalk sunflower and I call it the big sister.
We are hoping the little sisters catch up before fall arrives. She is bright eyed and bushy petaled today!
When we came in the house , Esme ran for the iPad so that we could read Jack and the Beanstalk.
This is her fourth summer.
I hope these magical sunflowers and our time together growing them never vanishes from her memories. My dream is long after I’m gone, every time she sees a sunflower, she’ll think of today.
