The Write Life-19 Websites and Magazines That Want to Publish Your Personal Essays
Hey everyone,
I subscribe to a site called
TheWriteLife.com
And yes, it has information about exactly what you think it does. An email I received this morning is something I thought might interest some of our writers out there. Even if you say you are a writer of novels and not for magazines and websites, getting your name out and about is key to success. Name recognition not only by the public but also by those in the industry always helps. The more you have out there the more you can point to.
So click the link below and check it out and sign up for the emails yourself. They have a lot covering a lot of different areas of writing.

Marketing – Your Way
There have been quite a lot of articles around lately about how free and very low priced books are creating a large band of readers who are not prepared to pay for regular priced ones, thereby swiping the food out of “legitimate” authors mouths. That’s fine. People who are never going to pay for a book don’t matter, and probably wouldn’t buy your book even if it suddenly became illegal to ever give one away for free anyway. You’re in charge of the pricing of your work, and if somebody wants to read it they will buy it. Regardless of what all those intrepid freebie hunters get up to. So don’t be shouting at hardworking people simply doing their best to get a new product to the eyes of people who would otherwise never have a clue who they are. Indie authors who started publishing eBooks with Amazon seven to…

Out In the Real World and What Does It Mean To Feel Good Enough?
Oddly enough, I wanted to write something meaningful tonight and yet, for some reason, I couldn't focus to save my life. Then out of the blue, a thought came to me about writing and how and why I write and how different I feel I am than so many of the other writers I know. …

Whenever I see Your Smiling Face
You are beautiful! I love seeing so many smiling faces too. 🙂
How could you not help but smile at this silly willy photo of my sweet Nephew Ezra! Here he’s looking like the Beeb!
Whenever I see Your Smiling Face
Just a few minutes ago I was working along and I opened up a mug shot from my favorite co-worker and instantly I started to smile. This person is so funny and always makes me laugh!
Which got me to thinking about how seeing Your photo makes me smile. I love Your photo showing up on my blog….when I see it I smile. I do! I just do…nobody looks like You do or makes me smile like You do.
The smile I have just for You is Yours we share that me and my smile Your photo!
Isn’t that just the coolest feeling?????
Hope Your day is going great! Also I thought of that song by James Taylor, Your smiling face.

So true!!!
Regret Is Not An Ideal Way Of Life
In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take, relationships we were afraid to have and the decisions we waited too long to make. — Unknown

Practicing what I Preach. Read a Book, Write a Review.
Thank you so much for taking the time to not only read my nearly 500 page book but also reviewing it so honestly. I too am surprised and delighted to have a man’s perspective on the story. Now I feel much more credible as part of the family here and hopefully I’ve passed my final exam for entry into into this awesome community of writers. 🙂
One thing to tell you about me and the rest of us here at LitWorldInterviews (LWI) is we are going to be honest, even about our own family and by family that includes the LWI Team members. Why, because if we’re not then we might as well not even be doing this at all.
If you’ve read the recent announcements here at LWI, then you know award winning author PS Bartlett has joined our team. You also know her latest novel, The Blue Diamond: The Razor’s Edge was released this past Friday.
I read the book.
I will say here and now that a Historical Adventure Romance was not exactly on my radar, even though I have actually written Romance in the past year and am working on revisions and all of that as I get feedback. But still, I’m a guy, right? Romance? And then the cover? I loved…

The ten worst writing tips I’ve received
The problem with writing advice is that every writer is different. This leads to lots of advice being passed around, often with the type of reverence reserved for holy scripture, that may be of limited use, or at worst, incredibly harmful to a new writer. Following on from my Ten Most Valuable Writing Tips I’ve Received, I thought I’d share the ten worst. Again, this very subjective. I’m sure there will be one or two tips listed here that some of you swear by (or according to number 3, by which some of you swear). The best advice a writer can receive is to go with what works for you. The following definitely didn’t work for me.
Write what you know
This is an incredibly frustrating piece of advice. We have been blessed with a wonderful imagination yet when starting out as a writer you’re told to stick to what you know. How many wonderful…
