Today I had a second to walk off and catch my breath and a feeling washed over me that I described as feeling as if I’m tumbling through time. Not tumbling at any particular angle but just like a tumbleweed on a flat surface. I need to just stop for a minute and get myself in order.
PUBSLUSH:
My Pubslush campaign ended last night. No, I didn’t even come close to my goal but it was an interesting and sometimes frustrating experiment in crowdfunding but only frustrating due to the negativity I saw in regards to the whole process. I never let it get to me and never once turned back. I kept tumbling along and saw it through to the end. That’s how I roll. (Yeah I know…you saw what I did there) The most important part of this section is this: THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED TO MY CAMPAIGN!!!! YOU ALL ROCK!!!
WRITING:
I haven’t had much time to work on my sequels to either of my novel series’ because my life has been a little out of sync but the outlines are done and I know how I write when the fire takes hold so I’m not worried that at least one of them will be ready to head off to the editor by January. Hang in there folks. I promise they are in the works.
COLLABORATING:
I’ve recently joined the wonderful LIT WORLD INTERVIEWS web site as a contributor. I’ve been working on my first article for days and since I’m contributing, I want to make sure what I have to offer is worthy of Ronovan’s hard work in building this site. I don’t mind a face plant now and again because it keeps me grounded but turf in my own face-mask is fine. Putting turf in a team mate’s isn’t. I’ll be working along side several wonderful writers so this is an honor.
NANOWRIMO:
Yep. I’m in. I’m hoping the stress keeps the brain cells firing and puts me back on the writing track with a whip and a chair. I’m ready. Let’s do this.
BOOK MARKETING:
I can always use some help with this. If anyone feels like tossing out some retweets and Facebook posts or reblogs, I promise to return the favor. I’m hoping to get some more reviews from all of the free advanced copies I gave away. HINT HINT. So far the feedback on The Blue Diamond has been fantastic and humbling at the same time. I’m here for the taking if you have an empty white space to fill. I’m ready when you are. I’m also thinking about a book trailer. I dear friend gave me some great ideas today. Now to find the time to do it.
DAY JOB:
Yep. 40 hours a week. Selling, admining, advertising, marketing and herding cats in the printer and copier business.
BOOK SIGNING PARTY:
My better than I deserve family and friends have joined forces to help me throw a big, fun filled afternoon–pirate style!!! They’ve been procuring, collecting and assembling some awesome raffle items and door prizes. If you’re in the Baltimore metro area, order yourself a book from Amazon and come on down! Here’s the link to my event on Facebook. Pirate attire is not mandatory but yours truly will definitely be wearing hers.
FAMILY LIFE:
Beautiful…love them all.
So, this tumbling tumbleweed may be riding all day long but at least I’m headed in the right direction. I know I’ll get there if my mind and body hold out.
I am so blessed but I could really use a good stiff wind to blow me down the road.
So now my friends, it’s time to roll on off and get some shut eye. 😉 No time to edit this…ignore the typos until tomorrow. XOXO
Sons Of The Pioneers – Tumbling Tumbleweeds
I’m a roaming cowboy riding all day long,
Tumbleweeds around me sing their lonely song.
Nights underneath the prairie moon,
I ride along and sing this tune.
See them tumbling down
Pledging their love to the ground
Lonely but free I’ll be found
Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds.
Cares of the past are behind
Nowhere to go but I’ll find
Just where the trail will wind
Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds.
I know when night has gone
That a new world’s born at dawn.
I’ll keep rolling along
Deep in my heart is a song
Here on the range I belong
Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds.
Sigh… I miss the southwest so much that I even miss tumbleweeds! 😀
Happy New Year.
Same to you Teagan. Thank you for reading my post. 🙂
